Great Lakes Coca-Cola Plant Closing in Kalamazoo
Great Lakes Coca-Cola at 216 Peekstock Road in Kalamazoo has announced it's closing for good, Fox 17 reports.
In a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) letter to the state on Thursday, the company confirmed the closure.
WARN aims to protect employees by requiring larger employers to provide notice 60 days in advance of plant closings and mass layoffs.
According to the letter, 102 employees could lose their jobs if they are not transferred to another facility.
Great Lakes Coca-Cola says the closure is planned for Nov. 5, 2018.
