I grew up in South Haven. Gotta love the Lake Michigan shore! I still feel a yearning for the beach, pretty much daily. I moved to Grand Rapids to go to Calvin College and study theater. Eventually I changed my major to another passion of mine- media. I was lucky enough to nab a position as an intern at Townsquare Media. About 10 years later I’ve had the pleasure of working in many positions, and I love that I get to spend every week day 10-3 talking with you on GRD! The Liquid Lunch is one of my favorite parts of the day! I just got married in September. My husband (that's still a little weird to say, haha!) Charlie and I laugh together every single day, and he puts up with all of my nonsense—which is not a small amount of nonsense… I may have a slight problem with watching too much TV: Anything on Investigation Discovery, Chopped, Real Housewives, documentaries on Netflix… I could go on. Other things I love: My own rude and feisty orange cat (Money Bags! Yes, that's his real name!), the beach (you may have thought I covered that already, but I really, really love it, OK?), reading, ‘90s alternative rock, people watching, drinking on patios, and most of all -- my dear, dear family.
