More than 130 years old, Detroit's Eastern Market has its roots in two historic markets: A farmers market that began in the 1840s in Cadillac Square and a hay and wood market that stood on the current site.

Different markets with their own unique food, products, and experiences happen on different days.
On Saturdays, year round, 6a.m. to 4p.m., you'll experience something that's totally Detroit. Over 225 market vendors share their produce and products with up to 40,000 visitors per day.
Every Sunday, June through September, 10a.m. to 4p.m., you'll find a non-traditional farmers market that seeks to showcase the work of local artists, cooks, jewelers, musicians, and more.
