Police have arrested a man for four recent armed robberies in Kent, Montcalm, and Ionia counties.

Oak wilt disease is a serious problem for oak trees in Michigan. The disease can spread rapidly and kill trees within just a few weeks. A new map gives a closer look at exactly where oak wilt disease has been found in West Michigan, specifically in Kent, Ottawa and Muskegon counties.

County Health Rankings annual report examines a variety of health measures across the country. This week, we are looking at some of the highest and lowest rated health measures found in West Michigan. The report found that the ratios of population to mental health providers in Kent County and Kalamazoo County are among the lowest in Michigan.

Consumers Energy has selected a total of 22 businesses and homeowners in Michigan's Lower Peninsula to help produce solar energy. Three Kent and Ottawa county businesses were among those selected.
