Protect Your Pets This Weekend

With the 4th of July weekend, there will certainly be lots of fireworks. And, those fireworks, while beautiful and exciting to most of us, will not be very exciting for them. They'll be scared, and that's not a good thing.

Your pet, dogs expecially, with probably get freaked out by the fireworks. So, there are some things you can do to kee them safe.

• leave your pet at home
• do not leave your pet in the car
• create a home sanctuary where they feel safe
• pet-proof your home because when scared, some pets can become destructive
• keep them inside
• Identification! Make sure they always wear identification, and micro-chipped is better. If they run and get lost, you want to be sure you find them.

So, go ahead, have fun, enjoy the fireworks, but please make sure your pet is loved and taken care of.
