I have been going to Cedar Point for as long as I can remember. I have been a big fan of roller coasters and other rides for a lifetime. I have stayed in some of the hotels, spent days at their waterpark and even a little time on their beach and everything has been amazing.

New Indoor Water Park At Cedar Point

There are some new things coming to Cedar Point that should excite families in 2022. I have stayed at the Castaway Bay resort a few times over the years and this year it is going to be even better. They have now added an indoor water park which is huge when staying overnight for a couple of days and you have kids with you or it rains and the park has to be temporarily closed down.

New Golf Course Near Cedar Point

Maybe the parents or grandparents are not much on riding rides at Cedar Point and want something to do while the kids are having fun at the park. Sawmill Creek By Cedar Point Resorts is close to the park and has a newly renovated golf resort featuring an 18-hole course designed by legendary golf course architect Tom Fazio.

If you want to be at Cedar Point for a few days Sawmill Creek is a great option because it adds more to the family experience. The family can enjoy exploring 200 acres of woodlands, there is bird watching in Sheldon Marsh Nature Preserve. If you want to bring your boat to enjoy some time on Lake Erie in between coaster rides, there is a dock on their Lake Erie marina. Plus all 239 guest rooms and suites have all been renovated.

New Dining At Cedar Point

Sawmill Creek has updated their dining experiences but inside Cedar Point, there are some exciting new options for families to dig into.

Who doesn't love a great hot dog? Now you can build your own creations at the new Derby Dogs restaurant. You can pick the toppings, the size of the dog or dogs, and have a fun time filling up before you get on your next ride.

There is something new in Frontier Town at Cedar Point and that is the Farmhouse Kitchen & Grill. Maybe you and the family want to belly up to a handmade meal so you don't have to piece a meal together with snacks. The Farmhouse Kitchen & Grill has full course handmade options to choose from while you decide to eat inside or outside.

For those who just want a burger and a milkshake. Cedar Point has updated Coasters Drive-in for a new look and a new toppings bar for you to be able to customize your milkshake.
