Zorro the dog came calling today.

Yes, Zorro visited with Andy Rent as he talked about him on his Andy in the Morning show for Wet Nose Wednesday.

Jen, from the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Zorro into the studios.

Zorro is a thirteen-year old Maltese-Poodle Mix, that needs a good, loving home. Zorro was surrendered by his owners as they felt they didn't have the time to take care of him. He  has been neutered, had all his vaccinations, is micro chipped, and ready to find a new home.

According to the American Kennel Club, the Maltese is a toy dog covered from head to foot with a mantle of long, silky, white hair. Since Zorro is part poodle, he has a short, curly type fur. He looks like a mop...very cute. He is gentle-mannered and affectionate, and eager.   He weighs under 7 pounds. Zorro would love a brisk walk, and playtime, but is a classic lapdog. Even thought he is 13, he has some good years left for the right owner.

Jen mentioned that the kennels are full of wonderful pets looking for a good home, and just waiting for you.

Don't forget summer camp for your kids. There is a camp for everyone, so check out their website to find the one, or several, for your kids, and get signed up.

You can get all the information on the Humane Society website or call (616) 453-8900.
