Before the wrestling event, my son and I walked over to a local restaurant and grabbed a bite to eat. One of the things I noticed was the positive energy that was around the Van Andel Arena area from the fans who were attending the event.

My son didn't know where I was taking him but then he started noticing people wearing wrestling t-shirts that were in the restaurant and then began to put it together we were going to the WWE event.

When we were walking over to Van Andel Arena all you could see where smiles on the faces of everyone who was waiting in line. Parents, kids, husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, and groups of friends.

When we got inside Van Andel, there was just an energy of anticipation for fans to see some of their favorite wrestlers on wrestlings biggest stage, the WWE. People were holding signs, had championship belts over their shoulders, and if one kid went "WOO" like the legendary Ric Flair, soon the whold stadium was doing it and this was going on an hour before the event even started.

On top of the wrestling event being very family friendly, the production the WWE brings in to entertain the fans is nothing short of a production like the band Kiss would bring in. As you can see in the photo above the massive video screen that is part of the incredible intros the wrestlers receive when entering the arena. This is all lit up with a massive light show that covers the entire arena. There are plenty of pyro techniques, air bursts and concussion bombs that make you feel like your at a rock show and it really adds to the excitement.

My son Evan and I both had an outstanding time. Although we do not watch wrestling on TV often, it was easy to follow along with the story line of each of the wrestlers. The WWE does a great job bringing you in so then all you have to do is pick out who you want to root for, the good guy or gal or the bad guy or gal.

We sure had a great time and if you have never been or always dreamed of going, I highly recommend you take the chance because the entertainment value is way up there and the smiles it brings are so worth it.
