Another Downtown Grand Rapids Business is Shutting Their Doors

REV: Road to Revitalize, a juice bar actually opened less that two years ago, but sadly has said this is it and will be closing soon.

Crain's Grand Rapids Business.com says owner Shardaira Jones hasn't announced a date yet, but it is coming soon.

Shandaira Jones said:

“After much prayer and reflection, I have made the decision to close this chapter at this location. While this season is coming to an end, I am deeply grateful for everything REV has represented and the memories we have created together.”

Where does she go from here nobody knows as she hasn't released any further information.

It does seem to be tough on downtown Grand Rapids businesses of late. Crain's reported "storefront vacancy in the Center City district stood at 21% as of June. Eight downtown Grand Rapids businesses had closed so far in 2026. A quarter of the closures were food and beverage businesses, while 63% were retail."

This comes on the heals of the announced closure of long-time business and popular men's clothier, F. David Barney. They are a custom menswear retailer and has been for nearly 50-years. They decided to close up shop because of the retirement of owner, Bruce Tuttleman. The store did say, however, that they will be open by appointment only from a new location.

These recent closing are all happening in the historic Ledyard Building, which is undergoing a more than $11 million dollar project turning the three upper floors into apartments.

When that project is completed that entire block just might see a huge renaissance.
