Who is Our Pet of the Week? Priscilla From the Humane Society

Amy, from the Humane Society of West Michigan joined me on the show today as we talked about Priscilla.

Priscilla is a super-sweet caramel-colored girl and a bit of a scaredy-cat, but is slowly learning she's safe in her foster home.

1-YEAR OLD PRISCILLA

Her foster mom says, "Priscilla warmed up to me really quickly, she listens when I talk to her, she's very into playing and picks up on commands very quickly. Out on walks she pulls a little but always focuses back up when I call and talk to her or offer her treats. When she is tired she turns into a cuddle couch potato. Her energy is either 100% play, or 100% nap, there is no in-between!" If you're looking for a sweet dog to keep you active AND keep you warm on the couch--Priscilla is your girl.

2. HSWM Birthday Party

Humane Society of West Michigan is turning 139 years old this year, and we’re ready to celebrate like paw-ty animals!

3. Is your pet the Best in Rescue?

You're used to hearing about pets named "Best in Show" at purebred competitions, but what about "Best in Rescue"? Well we’re fixing that! We're running a competition for rescued, lovable furbabies to determine which of YOUR 100% adorable animals is the best of the best!

Enter a photo of your rescue pet at through an online form (direct link: https://forms.gle/qLYatQASp9oCJq4RA) for a chance to win a HSWM goodie bag, tickets to HSWM's Birthday Party, and to have your rescue pet featured on HSWM social media! All rescue animals are welcome to enter, whether you have a dog, cat, rat, etc.

4. Become a Neonate Ninja!

Always ready to answer the call, speedy, dedicated to their craft, and absolute baddies--who are they? They're our Neonate Ninjas!

Neonate Ninjas are a specific group of lifesaving fosters that are ready to fight for a kitten's life whenever they're in need, and jump into action at short notice to take on a sick kitten for a short period of time.

If you have a flexible schedule and are willing to learn some skills to help a kitten that would not otherwise survive without you, please consider joining this new program!
