Chuck and I have been talking all week about gas prices.  It's getting pretty bad.

WZZM-TV and all media outlets reports that unleaded gasoline prices have jumped six cents per gallon since yesterday.  The Speedway station at the corner of Alpine Avenue NW and 3 Mile Road NW in Walker is selling unleaded gas for $3.45 per gallon this morning, which is six cents higher than yesterday.

$3.45 a gallon is the highest price in the last 24 hours in Greater Grand Rapids, according to www.GasBuddy.com .  The web site listed 15 gas stations at that price level this morning, which included Mobil, Shell, Marathon, BP, and Speedway stations.

The cheapest gas in the last 24 hours was $3.29 per gallon at Sam's Club and Costco stations, which required club memberships, and one Marathon station at Alpine and 4 Mile in Comstock Park.  The gas prices and station information on GasBuddy.com are entered by individual users.

Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi's threat to destroy his country's oil fields is driving the price of crude oil to $100 per barrel, which hasn't reached that level since 2008.
