Tiger is a 10-year-old Catahoula mix.

What is that, you say?

The Catahoula is an American dog breed named after Catahoula Parish, in Louisiana. As a working dog, Catahoulas have been bred primarily for temperament and ability rather than for appearance.

Tiger, with her very even disposition, came visiting Andy Rent on theAndy in the Morning show for Wet Nose Wednesday.

Trudy Ender, executive director of the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Tiger into the studios. Tiger, and her brother, came from the Pet Smart Rescue Program. Their owners had passed away, so the dogs were put up for adoption, and the Humane Society of West Michigan agreed to help. She still has a lot of life left and is hoping to find a good home soon. And being a senior pet more than 7 years old, Tiger and her brother Lion are FREE!

You can get all the information on Tiger and adopting, by visiting the society's website or call (616) 453-8900.

Trudy mentioned their Valentine's special, Find Your Love.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Valentine's Day -- Saturday, Feb. 14, all animals 14 months and older are $14! No reservations are required; just come out to the Humane Society and find your love.
