Father Mark Przybysz, known to all as Father Mark, and always so involved in the Greater Grand Rapids community, has decided he needs to step away as pastor of St. Anthony of Padua and retire.
The Diocese of Grand Rapids is warning of a potential scam which involves someone posing as a representative of the diocese and making phone calls asking for donations for "victims of the Haitian hurricane."

In April, David John Walkowiak was announced as the next Bishop of the Diocese of Grand Rapids.
Details about the ordination were announced last month.

Walkowiak comes from Ohio and will take over for Bishop Walter Hurley. Bishop Hurley has reached the mandatory retirement age of 75.
