What Happened to The Classic Appetizers We Had at Parties?
Holiday parties are everywhere this festive season. And, with any good party, food and drinks are the pillar of a successful party.
Unless you're having a small dinner party, feeding a crowd comes down to small plates and many appetizers.
In today's world, a big charcuterie board may fill the bill.
A classic charcuterie board would be filled with thinly sliced meats, cheeses, olives, vegetables, fruits, crackers, pickles, nuts, and even more if you are up to it.

Oh how I remember my brother Al and I trying to wander through her party and scarf down some of the food. If that didn't work, we would hide under the table until nobody was looking and, poof, some food was gone.
Even today, if Susie and I are throwing a party for a bunch of people, we do create some of the old classics. Just munching of little bits of meat, cheese and nuts isn't very exciting.
But alas, we are all so busy today, that when a crowd is coming over some people go all out with some veggies, dip, chips, more dip, and more chips! WOW! Now that's effort!
Come on, make your next party one to remember!
