What a life journey this young man has had.
He's 23-year old Jonny Gudino. And his journey from Kenscoff, Haiti to Grand Rapids Community College has been amazing.
Jonny Gudino found his way from Haiti to Grand Rapids to attend and graduate from the Secchia Institute for Culinary Education at Grand Rapids Community College, known for its comprehensive culinary programs and state-of-the-art facilities.

Now the GRCC Alum, Jonny Gudino, finds himself competing on Hell's Kitchen Season 25, just premiering on Fox. How amazing and what a thrill!

Obviously Jonny has a great talent to make it on the show. Currently he works as a personal chef, and is a food service worker at ResLife Church. No doubt, Hell's Kitchen could really move the needle for him.

The website My Kitchen Apex says "the journey to securing a spot on Hell’s Kitchen begins long before you step foot in the iconic restaurant. It’s a multi-stage process designed to find the most promising, passionate, and capable chefs."
Also, "to become a contestant on Hell’s Kitchen, you must submit a comprehensive application, pass rigorous casting calls, and demonstrate exceptional culinary skills, resilience, and a compelling personality."
The Secchia Institute sure prepared Jonny for this exciting moment in his life. GRCC says they prepare students for successful careers by providing superior theoretical and hands-on education in the classical and modern culinary arts, and craft brewing.

Upon graduation from any of their degree or certificate programs, students are ready to enter an in-demand workforce.
All of the degrees will allow graduates to transfer credits toward a bachelor's degree at Ferris State University.
They have small class sizes led by real-life chefs and industry experts, and they have
been consistently awarded American Culinary Federation (ACF) accreditation with exemplary status for 30+ years.
GO JONNY!
