Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that left one person injured early Sunday in Kentwood.

WZZM-13 reports that the incident occurred around 3:15a.m. near the intersection of 28th Street and the East Beltline.

According to police, two vehicles were involved.

Shots were fired, and the 27-year-old driver of one of the vehicles was struck in the neck and veered off the road. He was taken to the hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

The suspect's vehicle is a gray sedan that was last seen headed south on the East Beltline. Southbound East Beltline was closed while police investigated.
