Lady Bird Visits for Wet Nose Wednesday
Lady Bird the dog came calling today.
Lady Bird visited with Andy Rent as he talked about her on his Andy in the Morning show for Wet Nose Wednesday.
Emily, from the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Lady Bird into the studios.
Lady Bird is a 7-year-old Beagle mix. She has successfully lived with other dogs, and cats. She's a sweet easy going girl, who loves to play, meet people, and eating treats! She is a part of our Silver Paws program so her adoption fee is waived.
According to the American Kennel Club, hound mixes make excellent hunting dogs and loyal companions, they are also happy-go-lucky, funny, and—thanks to their pleading expression—cute.
Emily discussed several things:
Save With September Adoption Speical: Now through Thursday, September 13th all adult dogs are $145, and puppies are $245.
Disaster Preparedness Month (the event is 9/18): HSWM will be presenting at the Delta Plex "Operation Safe & Secure" event. We will be presenting on pet first aid, emergency kit for pets, safe transport, and more. We will also have giveaways! The event is free and is and runs from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M on September 18th.
Quotes for a Cause Fundraiser: Dale Gould Insurance Agency, Inc. is holding their Quotes for a Cause Drive for Humane Society of West Michigan. If you call or go online to Dale Gould Insurance Angency, Inc. and mention HSWM - $5 will be donated to help our animals! This fundraiser runs through December 31st.
*You do not need to change insurance companies for HSWM to receive $5 - just ask for a quote!
Rabbits: Right now we are packed to the brim with some AMAZING rabbits with even more on the wait list to come in. If you or someone you know is looking to add a new rabbit to the family please encourage them to come in and save a life. In this case, they will literally be saving two lives. The one they adopt and the space they are opening for one of the many waiting on the wait list to be surrendered here. We are looking for families that are looking for indoor only rabbits. All of our rabbits are required to be indoor family companions. All rabbits are spayed and neutered (or will be when they are old enough) . If you have ever considered having a rabbit I strongly encourage you to go for it as they make wonderful companions. They also make great apartment family members!! All of our available rabbits are listed on our website. We have many in the building as well as at our offsite locations.
You can get all the information on the Humane Society website or call (616) 453-8900.
