Kit Kat the bunny is a one year old spayed female cinnamon colored bunny recently rescued from a tough situation. Kit Kat came visiting and Andy Rent talked about her on his "Andy in the Morning" show for Wet Nose Wednesday.

Jona, from the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Kit Kat into the studios. The mixed American breed of rabbit makes a wonderful pet for people and families that love rabbits. They can be housed outdoors year-round in warmer climates as well as in cooler climates if the correct accommodations are made. It can be fed a combination of commercial rabbit pellets and timothy hay.  They are a hardy breed with few health issues.

Jona also mentioned animal seminars the Humane Society will be having throughout the year. The first one will be next Monday, April 18 at the Humane Society. Their animal behaviorist will be discussing stress on pets.

You can get all the information on Kit Kat and adopting, and the seminars, by visiting the society's website or call (616) 453-8900.
