Warning! Watch Our For Jury Duty And Warrant Scam Calls!
It has become so common place in today's world that when we hear of another scam, most of us probably will say ho hum, here we go again.
This is for real and the Kent County Sheriff's Office has issued a warning to be on the lookout for more suspicious phone calls.
This time the Sheriff's Office posted on their Facebook page that someone is impersonating a member of the Kent County Sheriff's Office claiming that you have missed jury duty. They may also say you have a legal issue.
So, what are they asking for?
Money! Plain and simple, they want your money. They demand payment over the phone. Whoops! Is that a red flag or what! BIG RED FLAG! Sadly, several people have taken the bait and sent money.
The Sheriff's Office says this isn't anything new, and has been tried before, but are urging all of us to keep on the lookout for this stupid stuff and to spread the word to family and friends.
