The Grand Rapids Drive has released its schedule for the 2014-15 season, the team’s inaugural run in the NBA Development League.

The Drive opens its season with a four-game road trip with a four-game road trip starting Nov. 15 at Bakersfield, the Phoenix Suns' California-based affiliate. The team returns for its first Grand Rapids home game at The DeltaPlex Arena & Conference Center on Nov. 26 against the Los Angeles D-Fenders, the Los Angeles Lakers affiliate.

Tickets for individual games for the Drive, a Detroit Pistons affiliate, go on sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 26. Season tickets and packages are currently available.

The team plans theme nights throughout the season, including $1 beer/college nights, charitable jersey takeover nights and family nights. Also planned are promotions focused on faith and fellowship, military appreciation and a Pistons tribute.

Season-ticket prices range from $8 to $62 per game and availability is limited. The Drive has been sold out of VIP courtside suites and Hollywood courtside seats since June. Group rates are for groups of 10 or more people. Other packages and fund-raising opportunities are available.

The team will call the 5,000-seat DeltaPlex Arena home from November and April, while also competing in two games during the NBA D-League’s annual Showcase in January. The team's head coach is Otis Smith, 50, who most recently was the president of basketball operations and general manager of the NBA's Orlando Magic from 2010-12 and is a former NBA player.

Grand Rapids is one of 18 NBA D-League teams competing for the 2014-15 season, including a new team in White Plains, N.Y., owned by the NBA's New York Knicks
