It seems as if much of West Michigan, and the world, for that matter, is closely following the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, the doctor charged in Michael Jackson's death.

How is the trial going and what has happened?   Well, it was a tough day, yesterday, as patients testified in his defense, bringing Dr. Murry to tears.

Fellow doctors, one an expert in addiction and the other an expert in the powerful anesthetic that the Houston-based cardiologist was giving Jackson as a sleep aid, will be the final witnesses, and, their testimony could make the difference in whether Murray is convicted or acquitted of involuntary manslaughter.

Murray's attorneys contend all along that Jackson gave himself the fatal dose of propofol.

Defense attorneys have told Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor they expect their case to conclude today, Thursday.  If that happens, closing arguments would occur next week.
