Peeps are those marshmallow chickens we have seen since we were kids around Easter. I can remember when there were only yellow ones. Now when you go to the store there are several different colors, shapes, and new flavors. It's the Easter candy you either love or hate. My sister loved them, I personally can not stand them.

A Ukrainian immigrant by the name of Sam Born made the first marshmallow treats. The original ones were all actually handmade. It wasn't until 1953 before the Just Born candy company started mass-producing the chicks.
