Changes Being Considered After First Two-Time Winner of ArtPrize
ArtPrize has grown and evolved since its first year, always making changes and adjustments along the way.
ArtPrize Executive Director Christian Gaines has indicated that more changes are being considered after seeing the first two-time Grand Prize winner at ArtPrize.
Ann Loveless won the 2013 Public Vote Grand Prize with "Sleeping Bear Dune Lakeshore." Loveless returned to ArtPrize this year with her husband for a collaborative piece and again won the Public Vote Grand Prize.
Gaines talked about the first two-time winner, “It’s a surprising and unexpected twist to have "Northwood Awakenings" represent our first ever two-time public vote winner. We’re stunned and delighted, but we’re also reflecting on how this affects ArtPrize going forward.”
Rule changes have always been a part of ArtPrize. When and if to allow prior winners to again enter the competition is one of the rules which will be looked at between now and ArtPrize 2016.
