Are You Ready for the Tulips? Tulip Time Begins This Weekend
It's hard to imagine, but it's actually TULIP TIME, in Holland! And, it's going to be back in full swing this year!
You know, few places can actually match the beauty of Holland in the spring when, not hundreds, or even thousands, but millions of tulips bloom with amazing color in local parks, and line the streets for the 93rd Annual Tulip time.
I know, we have all been complaining about the lack of Spring weather, but ironically that's been a God send for Holland and all the Tulips. They were a bit more dormant, so now they should be gorgeous at just the right time.
Everything kicks off this Saturday, May 7, with a Run; Walk; starting at Kollen Park. Registrants will receive a participant bib and medal. Run shirts and hoodies are also available.
Things pretty well wrap up Saturday and Sunday, May 14 and 15 with the final events and, of course, the exciting Volksparade!
The weather for next week looks fantastic and hopefully will be holding through the weekend as thousands of people come to Holland and West Michigan, literally from around the world. You know Tulip Time has received so many awards, including:
- Top 20 events in the world by the International Festival and Events Association
- Top 100 event in North America by the American Bus Association (23 times)
- Award of Excellence from Premier Tourism Magazine
- Americaʼs Best Small Town Festival by Readerʼs Digest
