Plan Ahead: West Michigan Fairs and Festivals May 1-15
As summer approaches, it is time for fairs and festivals to start popping up across our state. Things get started early, with several events planned for the first half of the month of May.

Mesick Mushroom Festival
Friday, May 6-Sunday, May 8, 2022 - Mesick, MI
Activities include mushroom hunting, Blessing of the Jeeps, food, concerts, events for the kids, baseball and volleyball. There is also a great grand parade at 12 Noon on Saturday. For more information, here is their Facebook page.
Nashville Michigan Hot Air Balloon Festival
Friday, May 6-Sunday, May 8, 2022 - Nashville, MI
There will be balloon launches (weather permitting) on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday mornings and evenings. There will also be Balloon glows on Friday and Saturday evenings. Tethered balloon rides will be available nightly (additional fee). Along with food and novelty vendors, there will also be a car show on Saturday. (Bring cash! ATM access will not be available. Brews and Beats
Saturday, May 7, 2022 - Village Green, Downtown Pentwater, MI
Brews & Beats is a Craft Beer, Wine, and Cider Festival. It’s a celebration of Michigan craft beverages and music. There will be live performances from The All American Funk Parade, yard games, and food trucks all while sampling beverages from over 20 Michigan’s best breweries. Cupcake Festival
Saturday, May 7, 2022 - Downtown White Cloud, MI

Spring Beer Festival
Saturday, May 7, 2022 - Turtle Creek Stadium, Traverse City, MI
It’s a festival of Michigan beer! This event features hundreds of fresh, local beers from some of the finest Michigan breweries. There will also be food available for purchase. More information can be found on the Michigan Brewers Guild Facebook page.
Taco and Tequila Festival
Saturday, May 7, 2022 - LMCU Ballpark, Grand Rapids, MI

Tulip Time Festival
Saturday, May 7-Sunday, May 15, 2022 - Holland, MI
Along with nearly 50,000 tulips of all varieties and colors, there will be a Tulip Time run, walking tours, quilt show, a carnival, entertainment, merchandise, food, and much more. National Morel Mushroom Festival
Thursday, May 12-Sunday, May 15, 2022 - Veterans Park, Boyne City, MI

Blessing of the Bikes - 50th Anniversary
Friday, May 13-Sunday, May 15, 2022 - Baldwin, MI
This event started with just eight riders and four motorcycles who gathered at St. Ann’s Catholic Church back in 1972. It has grown into one of the largest events in the area. It is attended by bikers and non-bikers alike from around the country. It is a chance for families to walk around downtown Baldwin and look at all the bikes and bikers and enjoy the vendors and great food. Wanderlust Fresh Water Music Festival
Saturday, May 14, 2022 - Fresh Water Cannabis Co., Baldwin, MI
