I'm dreaming of a White Christmas, just like the ones I used to know.....

Ah, yes, a White Christmas. The one part of winter that we all probably agree on, there should be snow on Christmas. But, with all the green we're seeing now, do we have any hope?

Yes! Maybe? Oh, thanks.

Our Fox17 friendly Meteorologists are saying that since the Michigan snow machine has totally underachieved so much this year, there is a glimmer of hope that there may be some Yuletide magic that brings a blanket of snow to all of us for Christmas. Hopefully.

So, what's the answer, will there be snow or no snow? The answer, they say, is lake-effect snow on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! As only a Meteorologist could say, a  strong cold front will swing through the area Wednesday night, leading to the coldest air we have seen all season. The strength of the cold air mixed with the still mild Lake Michigan waters will push the lake-effect snow machine back into high gear. Are you cheering yet?

We all know that typically, we see the heaviest snow from lake-effect, along & west of US-131 and along & south of I-94, and it may be that way again.

As with any system still three to four days out, come on, this is Michigan, and things could change, right? Just start humming, singing, whatever, White Christmas. That's bound to help!
