And then, keep it up if you would like to help them raise much-needed dollars to keep this program strong and growing, because they are planning their first Book Bash and they need your help.

Lights.....camera.....action! Teens in Kent County will soon have the opportunity to channel their inner Academy Award contender at their local library.

Yuck, that's gross!  Yuck, that's icky!  And, your kids love it! Let's be honest, if it’s on the gross, icky side, kids tend to love it.  But, you know what, it can be a lot of fun, and there’s a lot to learn from stuff that’s snotty, stinky, oozy and mushy.

Here's some real fun for your kids this summer.  How about the Hunger Games? Kinda-sorta, the Hunger Games will be played throughout the summer at KDL (Kent District Library) branches.

Earlier this year I wrote about the Kent District Library's Word Wise, KDL’s ninth annual teen poetry contest. It was open to all, aspiring, teem poets. Well, it's in the books, and it was once again a huge success thanks to all the great teen poets out there.  This year there were about 200 entries that the KDL staff reviewed.  Once they narrowed down the entries, the "official" judge
