Outreach Initiatives: June 2010 – May 2011

Unpaid Internship Program – Townsquare Media taught 16 college/young professionals with our unpaid internship program during the reporting period.
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Business Expo – March 28, 2011. Rosie Del Valle – Station Manager of 1410 La Maquina, represented Townsquare Media at this Expo providing opportunities to learn about broadcasting careers.
Student Tours of the radio station for Discover Days learning Center (7/14/2010), East Grand Rapids High School Civics/Debate team (4/1302011).
Career Fair Grand Valley State University – February 8, 2011. Niki Bloem attended and discussed opportunities within Townsquare Media.
Job Shadow – Oct 17, 2010, a group of 6 Cub Scouts came in and job shadowed with Craig Russell on 98.7 WFGR. April 20, 2011 – 4 students from Schoolcraft High school, Gull Lake School and Portage Northern job shadowed with Craig Russell. Craig taught them all aspects of radio broadcasting – on –air performance, commercial production, behind the scenes promotional and public appearance etiquette.
MABF Broadcast Media Career & Networking Fair – Ed Grey – Digital Sales Manager, represented Townsquare Media at this Career Fair on Mach 9, 2011. Ed was able to inform a high volume of minority and women candidates about career opportunities with Townsquare Media.
