Kinky Boots, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony® Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy® Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots), opens at the DeVos Performance Hall on June 2, 2015, with tickets starting at just $32.50.

Circle Theatre, known for their wonderful plays and musicals during the spring and summer season, produces an annual concert series that features many of the area’s best vocalists and musicians. The much anticipated exhibition,The Discovery of King Tut, will make its Great Lakes Region debut at the Grand Rapids Public Museum on May 16, 2015. Visitors will experience what it was like for Howard Carter and his team when they first discovered the tomb of Tutakhamun in1922.

The Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts (UICA) announced a list of participating artists, live entertainment, and bidding upgrades for the 2015 event presented by Wolverine World Wide. ArtPrize has announced the 2015 panel of jurors for the Grand Prize and Category Awards. A total of seven jurors have been announced which includes a panel of three jurors for the Grand Juried Prize and jurors for the categories of 3-D, Time-Based, Installation, and Venue. The 2-D juror will be announced at a later date.

The UICA will present a one-night-only discussion with Joshua Rogers, the collector behind their current contemporary art exhibition Power Objects: The Future Has a Primitive Heart. UICA Executive Director Miranda Krajniak will moderate the May 8 talk, which begins at 7 pm.
