According to WOOD, authorities are investigating the shooting at a house in the Grant area where a woman has been critically injured.

Someone contacted the Michigan State Police just before 2:30 a.m. Monday morning to report shots being fired at a house. The home in question is located on Fox Drive that is close to the intersection of Thornapple Avenue in Grant Township.

The MSP have stated that an unnamed suspect was standing outside the home and was firing several rounds into the home. Inside the home was a 43-year-old woman who was hit and had to be airlifted to a Grand Rapids hospital. The woman is now in ICU.

State police have yet to release the identity of the woman who was shot or the suspect who was doing the shooting. Heck, the police have not said if they have the suspect in custody or not.
