Is your freezer beginning to glow in the dark? Are your eyes turning red?

Sounds silly doesn't it. But it is a serious issue and if you have bought some frozen shrimp from Walmart, better check it out carefully and not eat it.

APnews.com has reported that Walmart has recalled frozen, raw shrimp, which has been sold in 13 states including Michigan. Why the recall? The shrimp could be radioactive!

Okay, that is not the kind of news I want to hear, nuclear shrimp in my fridge, or worse, my tummy. Will some kind of monster begin to grow in there and an Alien burst out of my stomach? Well, not exactly!

The Feds said, according to APnews.com, that they "detected Cesium-137, a radioactive isotope, in shipping containers and a sample of breaded shrimp imported from Indonesia."

IS THAT DANGEROUS?

It can be. The levels of Cesium-137 were below what the FDA considers a dangerous level, but, according to an AARP article, "eating this on a regular basis and being exposed to a low lever of radiation, could pose health problems down the road, especially for older adults with a weakened immune system."
