Is Walmart actually going to close Grand Rapids stores before the end of the year?

Walmart will close all of their stores on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day! They want all of their employees to be able to relax and spend time with family and friends.

After Thanksgiving Day, however, the will reopen at 6 a.m. for Black Friday, the huge shopping day!

Walmart says they will be open on Christmas Eve, but only until 6 p.m., then close totally for Christmas Day.

Of course, on December 26 they will reopen at 6 a.m. sharp.

As for possible permanent Michigan store closings, we seem to still be safe. With the latest closing update posted on September 16, the hardest hit states are Texas (29), North Carolina (17), and Arkansas (11), according to Rather Be Shopping.com, but all Michigan stores are still running full blast.
