MLive reports that two baby ones were found recently in a building in Eastpointe, Michigan.

The Eastpointe Police shared photos to Facebook, saying they'd "risked life and limb" to capture the reptiles, and unfortunately, because exotic animals are prohibited in Eastpointe, they "couldn’t keep them as emotional support animals".

The Michigan Humane Society helped with the rescue.

The alligators will have a new home at the Alligator Sanctuary in Athens, Michigan.
