Is Time Up to Mail Cards and Gifts for Christmas?
Have you been procrastinating about mailing out those cards and gifts to family and friends for Christmas? No problem because you still have plenty of time. You have ONE WHOLE DAY!
Yikes! Now what are you going to do?
I know, you're hoping to mail out cards and gifts for family and friends that are far away and you won't see over Christmas. Well, TOMORROW is the deadline to get it done and shipped. Tomorrow's deadline is for U.S. Postal Service first class, greeting cards and letters, and packages for USPS Ground Advantage.
The United States Postal Service (USPS) told FOX 17 they're about to hit eight billion packages for processing before Christmas, and they just hit 12 billion last year for the holiday season.
So for sure right now is absolute crunch time!
Here are the USPS Shipping Deadlines
USPS Ground Advantage — Saturday, December 16
First-Class Mail (including greeting cards) — Saturday, December 16
Priority Mail — Monday, December 18
Priority Mail Express — Wednesday, December 20

Don't forget last scheduled day for regular USPS DELIVERY is Saturday, December 23rd. Sunday is Christmas Eve and there isn't delivery that day, and Monday, December 25 of course is Christmas Day.
What about other shippers?
For FEDEX and UPS shipping deadlines for your Christmas packages you have a little more time, but not much, as many of those deadlines for domestic shipping begin Tuesday, December 19.
Don't forget how busy this holiday season is, so you also have an option to thank your mail carriers who are working hard. Remember it's a $20 max value of a gift to the carrier, but not money or a card that can be exchanged for money.
Amazon is now allowing customers to tip drivers a $5 gift card. You can submit the tip by searching "Thank My Driver" on the Amazon website or app.
Better get on the stick!
