When I heard that The Simpsons was probably going to be canceled due to an impasse in the voice actors' salary negotiations, I almost had a cow, man.

As it turns out, the long-running cartoon isn't going anywhere just yet.

Excellent.

According to Entertainment Weekly, The Fox series nearly got nuked because the cartoon no longer makes enough money to continue without a pay cut for the voice actors.

One of the actors, Harry Shearer, responded with a statement explaining that, while he couldn't speak for the other actors, he was willing to take an even bigger pay cut than the studio had proposed - but he wanted a cut of the profits.

In the end, Fox announced that the animated comedy show would stay on TV for another two seasons. Woo Hoo!
