Almost 40 shelters in Michigan will be participating in the Bissell Foundation's "Empty the Shelters" event, starting Monday, December 6th and running for two weeks.
Not only did they help shelters in need, but they were also able to donate to local animal food banks, so owners didn't have to surrender their furry friends.
If you've been been thinking about adding a furry, four-legged member to your family-- this is the weekend to do it!
The Humane Society of West Michigan is offering $70 off adoption for dogs 5 months and older, Fox 17 reports.

For the second consecutive year, the BISSELL Pet Foundation will partner with the Kent County Animal Shelter (KCAS) to sponsor the “Home for the Holidays” campaign.
