On August 3, Coopersville's Grassfields Cheese issued a recall of 20,000 pounds of cheese due to E. coli concerns. Today, we know more about how many have gotten sick and where they are from.

Spring break is just a week away and I'll bet your kids are chomping at the bit to be "released!" Some of you may be going to warmer places, exotic destinations, etc., but many will stay home, and that's not all bad, because there is plenty to do here at home. Here are some cool suggestions.

122 Michigan schools have been awarded the MI HEARTSafe School designation which recognizes schools that are prepared to respond to cardiac emergencies. West Michigan schools recognized include schools in Belmont, Cedar Springs, Coopersville, Fennville, Grand Rapids, Rockford, Wyoming, and more.

Walt Dairy Farm in Coopersville hosted over 2,000 people on Saturday for 'Breakfast on the Farm'.

Saturday, July 13, Walt Dairy Farm in Coopersville will be hosting a special Breakfast on the Farm. In addition to the all-ages breakfast, attendees can take a self-guided tour and learn more about life on a farm.

Add Coopersville to the growing list of area Farmer's Markets, delivering farm-fresh produce, meats and cheeses.

The weather wasn't exactly Hawaii-like, but that didn't stop hundreds from transforming Coopersville into Hoopersville on Friday! Hula-hoopers gathered at Bronco Stadium on Friday night in an attempt to break the record for most people dancing with a hula hoop at one time.
