First it was Michigan State and now its the University of Michigan that has sex abuse claims regarding a former doctor.

According to WOOD, a former U of M physician is being accused of abusing former patients during exams that go back decades and now the school is doing an investigation.

The former director of University Health Service and athletic team physician, Robert E. Anderson is being investigated by U of M officials regarding incidents that happened between 1968 and 2003. Just one problem, he died in 2008.

A former University of Michigan athlete wrote a letter to Athletick Director Warde Manuel regarding alleged abuse by Anderson that happened during some exams back in the early 70s. Several other former students reached out and one case was from the late 90s.

President Mark Schlissel said, "the allegations that were reported are disturbing and very serious. We promptly began a police investigation and cooperated fully with the prosecutor's office."

A compliance hotline has been created for anyone who may have been in contact with Anderson and was allegedly abused by him while he worked out U of M to call 866.990.0111.
