Are There Seven Unique Wonders of Grand Rapids? Where?
Here is something to really chew on. What would you say are the Seven Wonders of Grand Rapids?
We have the seven wonders of the world, such as the Great Wall of China, the Colosseum in Rome, the Taj Mahal in India, and so forth.
But, what about Grand Rapids?
Reddit Grand Rapids got a great conversation going about what people thought might be the seven wonders here. Of course there were some crazy, weird comments, and some beautiful memories of past Grand Rapids.
I'll give you what I think would be my Seven Wonders of Grand Rapids.
1. THE CALDER
2. DA VINCI HORSE
3. THE MEIJER GARDENS
4. VAN ANDEL ARENA
5. DOWNTOWN SKYLINE FROM I-196
6. MEDICAL MILE MICHIGAN STREET
7. FULTON STREET FARMERS MARKET
What about the Blue Bridge, the Castle Apartments in Grandville, John Ball Zoo, the Fish Ladder, Yesterdog, even?
So many of the suggestions are passions of Grand Rapids folks, and they mean a lot to residents here.
One suggestion that I thought was the most unique was the Lip Dub! Do you remember? It was so long ago that probably a lot have forgotten or have never seen it. So, in honor of a true "art piece" of video magic, and possibly the Eighth Wonder of Grand Rapids, here is the Lip Dub!
