See Big Ol Balloons at Wayland BalloonFest
The Wayland BalloonFest is coming back for the second year.
This Friday and Saturday, the final hot air balloon festival is taking over West Michigan.
The website explains it best!
"We are back! In 2021, we held our first Hot Air Balloonfest and it was an amazing success, with over 4,000 and 10+ hot air balloons in attendance!"
My favorite part of the Wayland BalloonFest is raising money for suicide prevention.
The Wayland BalloonFest is taking place during National Suicide Prevention Week.
While the proceed from the event will be donated to suicide prevention, organizers will be bringing awareness to suicide prevention throughout the event.
If you like balloons, this is the perfect event for you with a great cause attached.
The two-day festival features over a dozen hot air balloons.
If balloons aren't your vibe, you can experience the live music that will kick off the event starting at 4:00 PM on Friday.
On opening day, there will be a hot air balloon launch which ends off with a balloon glow in the evening.
As weather permits on Saturday, the second and third balloon flights will happen.
The festival sounds like an exciting event for the whole family. For the full schedule, check this out.
You know Michiganders take their cornhole seriously. So, you must know there will be a cornhole tournament. If you want to register, you still can.
If you want to be a part of the volunteer team, you can sign up here. Each volunteer will receive a free t-shirt to wear. Be aware that you have to be 16 years old or older unless an adult is coming with you.
