The first year of the Grand Rapids Balloon Festival brought fun and memories.

Crowds enjoyed getting up close to more than 20 hot air balloons and many shared their experience on social media.

The 2014 Grand Rapids Balloon Festival, from RE/MAX of Grand Rapids, 100.5 The River and others, took place Friday and Saturday at Gordon Food Service in Wyoming.

Visitors enjoyed a close look at the balloons, a chance to meet the pilots, kids activities, food, and more.

Conditions on Saturday morning were great for the hot air balloons.
