Tony, a cat at Crash's Landing, was found as a stray in Lansing.

At first, Tony was too scared to even come inside. Once he finally did come in, he was too shy to go near anyone.

Today, he loves being indoors, loves to play and would love to join your family!

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Tony.

Tony was found as a stray in Lansing. A friend of Crash's Landing's was leaving out food for Tony, but it was weeks before she ever saw him.

Tony would eat the food, come back for more, but never stick around to be seen.

Eventually, Tony warmed-up to the homeowner and even came inside once it was cold outside.

Tony's friend in Lansing loved having him around, but couldn't take him in permanently. Then Tony tested positive for FeLV, which limited the shelters he would be able to go to.

Many shelters don't take FeLV positive cats.

Crash's Landing does.

Crash's Landing took in Tony on October 2, 2013.

Today, Tony loves being indoors and playing with the other cats at Crash's Landing, but he would love to join your family even more.

Can you adopt Tony?
