Chet is waiting for someone to give him the opportunity to enjoy what he has always been missing, a comfortable life in a home of his own.

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 4,000 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Each Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Chet.

Chet was born in the fall of 2014. He has spent most of his life as an outdoor cat. He spent years being elusive and not quite trusting humans. Finally, he was rescued and brought to Crash's Landing for testing.

The hope was that Chet would join his rescuer, but after a positive result for FIV he joined the other cats at Big Sid's Sanctuary at Crash's Landing. Chet was also neutered and treated for fleas and an ear infection upon his initial arrival.

Chet is shy, but slowly coming out of his shell. What he really needs is a chance to grow in a home of his own.

Please adopt Chet.
