Celebrate Valentine's Day with Sweets from Crash's Landing.
Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center. Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 4,000 cats. But there is still work to be done.
Each Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.
This week, we're spotlighting Sweets.
Sweets was born in late 2013. She first arrived at Crash's Landing in 2015. In 2018, Crash's Landing welcomed Sweets back to the shelter. The couple who had originally adopted Sweets could no longer care for her so a friend of theirs took her, but the friend didn't care for Sweets properly.
Crash's Landing brought Sweets back and went to work as soon as she arrived.
Sweets had been avoiding the litter box. Crash's Landing discovered that this was due to a painful, inflammatory bladder condition that had long been untreated. They treated her right away and her response to the medications was immediate. It's too bad it wasn't done sooner.
Sweets startles easily, so a mellow home where she is the only cat would be best.
Sweets is ready for another chance. Please adopt her.
