Are you ready for some MACtion? The Mid American Conference football season kicks off tonight, with all three state schools in the league scheduled to play.

After sitting out two months due to the coronavirus, the Mid American teams will finally hit the field Wednesday to start a shortened six game season.

In the openers for the state schools, Central Michigan will be at home in Mt. Pleasant to take on East Division favorite Ohio University. CMU is still awaiting a verdict on starting quarterback David Moore, who was sitting out a NCAA suspension. The team still has yet to find out if he is eligible tonight.

Kick off is set for 7:00pm on ESPN.

Western Michigan is on the road, taking on Akron. The WMU Broncos are a slight favorite to win the West Division. The Zips, meanwhile, are coming off a winless season. That game will be aired on ESPN3 at 6:00pm

Eastern Michigan will kick off their shortened season at Kent State. Game time is 6:00pm. The Eagles will be six point underdogs to the Golden Flashes. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
