Danger! Big Michigan Cheese Recall Due to Listeria Contamination
Food recalls are beginning to run together and blur the lines a bit. It's becoming difficult to track everything in the food chain that may be dangerous, so we tend to ignore it.
This one is one you should not ignore!
There is a Listeria scare in some grated cheese products that have been sold in Michigan.
The All Recipes website reported that the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) announced more Boar's Head products are being recalled because of a Listeria contamination.
WHAT IS BEING RECALLED?
This time it is grated cheese products, sold in stores from November 3rd to the 20th, and with the holidays it is probably a given we will be using a lot in our recipes.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF YOU HAVE SOME?
Number one, DON'T EAT IT!
Number two, throw it away or return it for a full refund. You won't need a receipt because stores will take it back if it's been recalled.
Listeria is nothing to mess around with. You can get very sick, and it is especially dangerous for older adults and those with compromised immune systems. Also, if you are pregnant it can cause serious problems.
Check your fridge and freezer now and be safe!
