The Detroit Lions released their list of opponents for the 2021 season, and it shows a rare twist, that may be a team first.

While the dates and times have yet to be announced, the Detroit Lions posted the list of opponents for the 2021 season Wednesday, and for the first time in team history, as far as I've been able to find, the Lions will play every team in the NFL named after birds.

The Lions will host the Ravens, Cardinals and Eagles, while they will be on the road to take on the Seahawks and Falcons.

No word from the league yet as if there's a playoff bonus for defeating all five bird teams, but there should be.

Three of the bird teams -- the Seahawks, Cardinals and Ravens had winning records in 2020.

Another interesting matchup on the 2021 include a road game to take on former quarterback Matthew Stafford and the Rams. I sincerely hope that game is the season opener, as it will surely garner national attention.
