Amazing! You Can Still Downhill Ski in Michigan!
The weather is finally warming up with spring showers to bring May flowers. The snow skiing season is probably over, right?
Not a chance. Boyne Mountain is open!
I'm shocked too, but this weekend they are open. Both Saturday and Sunday, April 11 and 12, they are open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
It may be your last chance to ski, so if your skis are sharpened and ready to go, schuss away!

Spring skiing is always different at Boyne with Michigan's longest ski season. The crowds are much smaller, they have the largest spa, and of course Avalanche Bay Water Park.
This weekend at Boyne is also Shred The Stigma by Surf the Earth. It is the second year of a special community-driven mental health weekend hosted by Surf the Earth Mental Health Community.
"Now in its second year, Shred the Stigma brings together outdoor enthusiasts, mental health advocates, and curious humans for two days of free programming centered on wellness, connection, and honest conversations."
What has been good for Northern Michigan ski resorts was this past winter being a real old-fashioned winter with lots of continuous snow. For the past few years winters have been weak and when spring arrived, there wasn't much if any snow left.
If skiing is your thing and you haven't gotten it out of your system yet, this just may be your last chance to run the slopes.
Also, Boyne may not be the only resort open for skiing. CLICK HERE for a link to all of the Northern Michigan resorts and check them out!
