The owners of two popular eateries on Bridge St. are expanding with a new restaurant - and it's opening soon!

Way back in 2021 we told you that brothers David and Paul Reinert, who own O'Toole's Public House and Butcher's Union, planned to open a full-service restaurant called Gin Gin’s at 345 Summer Ave.

Owners describe it as "a timeless neighborhood gathering place located on the west side."

The restauranteurs purchased the property, which is minutes from downtown Grand Rapids, on Sept. 6, 2018 for $880,000. Since then, they've been working to transform the vacant building into a new dining destination.

In 2021 Crain's Grand Rapids reported that the new eatery would have room for about 80 people inside and an outdoor beer garden with seating to accommodate 75 to 80 guests.

It's sounding like Gin Gin's is almost ready to open!

As far as what to expect at the new restaurant, a post to social media shares that it will serve steak, pasta, seafood, and drinks like martinis, manhattans, and old fashioneds.

While an exact opening date has yet to be announced, the owners shared to Facebook that Gin Gin's will open this spring!
