Colleen Lamoreaux-Tate took over the girls basketball program at Grand Rapids Catholic Central in 2005.  She was previously the head girls basketball coach at East Grand Rapids for 10 years.

On Thursday, it was announced that Lamoreaux-Tate will become the sixth head coach in the history of Ferris State University's women's basketball program.

Success has followed Lamoreaux-Tate from program to program:

  • In her 10 years at East Grand Rapids, her teams went 185-45 with nine district championships.
  • While at Catholic Central her teams compiled a combined record of 167-19 with one state championship.
  • She began coaching as the freshman girls coach at Grand Rapids West Catholic for seven years.  In seven years, her teams never finished lower than second place in league play.

A press conference to introduce Lamoreaux-Tate is scheduled for Tuesday at 2:00pm.
